Fox Pen Permit Information

Now that fox pens are PERMANENTLY closed in Florida, we have chosen to focus our efforts on the remaining States that allow this practice to continue. Therefore, we are gathering information on how these States regulate and permit fox penning and will post each State’s guidelines on this page.

Please check back often as we begin our quest to close fox penning throughout the United States. This is a practice that should not be allowed to continue. Period.

We would like to recruit volunteers in the many States that permit this activity. If you would like to help us gather the necessary information (guidelines, permitting information, regulations, etc) from your State’s wildlife agency, please contact us at: [email protected] With a little effort, we can get this cruelty outlawed for good!

The Indiana Natural Resources Commission is very particularon how they would like comments sent to them. So at this time, we are unable to provide a “quick” method to enter your information and post it directly to them. You will need to go to their website, find the running pen proposed rule and submit your comment there. Here is the information and instructions:

>> Scroll down to the bottom of the page and find the Coyote/Fox Dog Training Grounds rule
>> Click on Comment on this rule
>> Enter the required information in the boxes provided
>> In the comments, please make sure that you remain courteous and straight to the point. Explain the fact that the inherent cruelty and abuse simply cannot be regulated through rule. Try to focus on a particular topic and make a conclusive argument
>> Send as many friends, family and neighbors to this site and have them post comments as well
